Which Type of the Noritsu lasers is better: Type A, B or Ff?
Both designs of Laser heads for Noritsu lasers have its own advantages. Shimadzu laser heads (Type A/A1, Blue in Ff) are general heads but the driver is smart. Day by day driver chases and maintains the optimal parameters according the actual condition of laser head. At the same time JUNO laser heads manufactured by SOC (Type B/B1, Green in Ff) are very advanced devices, real state of art of laser technology. But! Oops! Their driver is just a dummy power supply, all parameters settled by potentiometers on shrink-wrapped Cross-PCB. This solution can't be so flexible as Type A/A1, and even if laser head still could work properly, driver will give error - old "sealed" parameters are no longer applicable to actual condition of laser, potentiometers must be re-tuned.
In fact Blue is less reliable laser than Green. And a big surprise was that Green lasers from the second generation of Shimadzu heads (QSS 32-33 Type A1) is worser than Blue, because of designers fault. Dozens of QSS 32-33 series Type A1 laser units have been withdrawn during first and second year of functioning because of Green error. To stop getting loss Noritsu redesigned unit and released Type Ff, where they used SOC JUNO Green laser heaad instead of original Green from Shimadzu. Noritsu expected that this will lead to exceptional reliability of entire laser unit. Historically Shimadzu Blue lasers have been much more reliable than SOC (honestly, mostly because of its smart driver) and furthermore Shimadzu offered advanced Blue laser head for Ff type. In opposite, SOC Green lasers easily bet their opponent. However, modified Shimadzu laser heads (Types A1 and Ff) all have a problem in design. 2-4 years old Types A1 and Ff Blue laser heads have a serious risk of being out of order caused by other than standard deteriration reasons.
I would prefer for my own minilabs Type A for QSS 30-31 series, Type B for 32-33 series. There is no choice for 34, 35 and 37 series. All of them offered Type Ff laser units only.
What would you recommend to prevent re-occurence of laser fault?
Keep minilab clean, especially air filters and fans. Good point is to perform vacuum cleaning of all visible wires, power supplies and electronics once in 1-2 months depending on how dusty is your area. Please pull out laser unit about twice per year and clean area beneath the laser, check fans there. However, there is no specific advises how to extend its longlife. Everything is unpredictable.
How soon my laser will be repaired?
Usually in 1-3 days. Sometime we experience a large volume of requests and have a lot of work in particular period of time. There could be delay.
Should I send also Laser Driver PCBs?
We do not need electronic boards or AOM Drivers from your side. Please determine yourself whether they are good or bad.
How long is the estimate lifespan of repaired laser?
The lifetime of repaired laser unit might be widely different, the same as with new laser. In theory, refurbished laser gun should work at least the same 5000 hours as Noritsu promised for the new ones. But the real result might be from 80-90% (because there are many hidden circumstances which can not be considered at a time of repair) and up to 150-200% as in some known cases.
Do you sell laser units?

Do you sell separate laser heads?
No, we don't.
Can you send laser Unit in front to get our minilab back to work immediately, then repair our broken laser?
Sorry, no repair exchange program offered. We repair existing customer's laser units and we sell laser units in good working condition, like new. No other options available.
Can you repair Agfa FLR laser units?
AGFA D-LAB DPSS GREEN and BLUE laser heads are the same as Noritsu's QSS3001/3101 Type A. The only difference is factory preset for higher output power. we accept separate AGFA DPSS heads.
Can you repair Fuji Frontier laser units?
Yes, we can, but we do Fuji only in our Russian research center.
Do you repair AOM Drivers?
Yes, we repair them, but we do that only in our Russian research center.
Can you repair MLVA devices from QSS 27 and 29 Series?
No, we don't. Sorry.
Do you repair other than photo-imaging laser equipment?
Yes, we are very happy to help you with any other laser-based equipment if you trust us and could ship your device for investigation.
Can you break our bill to be paid partially during certain period of time?
Sorry, your bill must be paid in full prior the box with laser unit will be released from lab. Please ask for credit in your local financial institutes.
Can you provide information how to repair lasers, which parts are used, and other specific details?
No, it's absolutely impossible.
Do you interested to launch representative lab in my native country and let me work as optronic engineer on your behalf?
No, we are not interested to develop in this direction.

We don't have a methodic to teach anybody. Our own self-education is still in progress.
How to became Laserepair dealer in my country of residence?
You have to be able to provide full customer support. Minimum 6 lasers per year is required to be eligible for dealer's price.
