6073 Syncronouos Sensor Error:
- 6073-0001: RED laser syncro signal could not be read. Possibly RED AOM Driver is defective, or RED Laser is not powered on.
- 6073-0002: GREEN laser syncro signal could not be read. Possibly GREEN AOM Driver or GREEN Laser driver are defective, or GREEN Laser Driver is not powered on.
- 6073-0003: BLUE laser syncro signal could not be read. Possibly BLUE AOM Driver or BLUE laser Driver are defective, or BLUE Laser Driver is not powered on.
Four different ways to have this error appeared:
- 1. AOM System. If one of the AOM Drivers went bad, error 6073 is the one who will inform you about that. Inspect AOM Drivers according error sub-codes above and all the cables and connectors around them. You can swap AOM drivers and see if the sub-code has changed. 6073 would also appear if the cables between Laser Unit and AOM Drivers are misplaced.
- 2. Damaged cables, broken connectors, dirty contacts, misplaced connectors. This happens mostly after moving minilab, or re-installation of the laser unit.
- 3. One of the electronic PCBs went bad. Check Power Supplies and fuses, Laser I/O PCB, Laser Control PCB, Laser Driver PCBs. If there is no power at the Laser Driver PCB, there is no power on the laser gun as well. Therefore, there is no signal on synchronouos sensor. If the general power is ok, but swapping laser drivers leads to sub-code change, this means one of laser driver PCBs is faulty.
- 4. However if none of the above tips did not help, the problem is caused by the defect in laser unit. It has to be repaired.
Such tips are useful if 6073 error is being generated every time when minilab is switched ON and there is no possible to enter to the service menu for diagnostic, because once error has been cleared, it appears again and again.
However 6073 could also pop-up randomly during the printing process. At this point Tips 2 and 3 must be skipped. The source of error is bad AOM Driver either a problem in Laser Unit. When error appeared during the printing, the image interrupts and then we can get blank prints or some dark CMY stripes on them. These stripes are in negative colour of the deteriorated laser beam.

Above is an example of asynchronouos RED, below is asynchronouos GREEN.
